 Welcome to the website of Trevis & Tammy Bird of
Greygum Alpaca Stud. Our property is situated at Kialla, 10 minutes south of
Shepparton in the northern centre of Victoria, Australia.
Our decision back in 1997 to invest in alpacas was an easy one, due to them
being low maintenance and gentle and easy to handle. After doing
significant research we found the Alpaca industry was here to stay and there
was potential to make a generous return from our investment.
We are smaller breeders with a herd of 40 animals
of varied solid colours including white, fawn, brown & black. We have
always believed in investing in top genetics so as to receive the best
results possible in our herd.
Our goals have always been to breed for top
quality alpacas of solid colour, low micron, good lustre, density and good
crimp and staple definition. We have aimed to have a herd of top quality
females producing genetically advanced offspring, which in turn we can offer
for sale to other breeders both new and old.
